Burgenland, on the one hand Austria's easternmost federal province, on the other hand located in the heart of Europe, is always faced with the challenges that come along the further development of traffic and mobility concepts due to the current framework conditions and its unique location and structure. It has to meet the requirement that its residents want to get to the centers as quickly and safely as possible. This requires a transport system to which all Burgenland residents have unrestricted access. In recent years, great strides have been made and important goals have been achieved. Now it is time to turn to the future topics of mobility.
The mobility service provider of Burgenland
As Verkehrsbetriebe Burgenland GmbH, we are the mobility service provider in Burgenland and responsible for the operational processing of the mobility goals defined in the overall transport strategy 2021 in the area of public transport. Together with schools, municipalities and the federal province, we are currently working on the implementation of the new micro public transport system "Burgenland mobil" including the main axis system.
